Villamax

Power Rangers Lost Galaxy remains my favorite PR series to date. Not only did it continue the darker tone set by In Space, but it expanded upon it. It still ranks as the PR series with the highest death toll (where else can you see a Pink Ranger die in battle?), and has some of the most intriguing storylines, characters and villains.

Enter Villamax, a noble warrior we first meet on the planet Onyx. There, he saved the villainous Trakeena from a severe beating at the hands of a mob, and gallantly offered to train her, turning her from a spoiled princess into a hardened warrior. Because of his training, she was more than capable of taking over her father's throne after his death at the hands of the Red Galaxy Ranger.

Villamax stayed on with Trakeena, serving as her personal bodyguard while her forces battled the Rangers.
