Artist's Comments
So it's no secret that I'm a Power Rangers fan. I've been getting kind of psyched about the newest installment of the Power Rangers franchise-- Power Rangers Jungle Fury. Which is probably not a good thing since I haven't really been all that pleased with the past few seasons...
But anyway, Jungle Fury has sooo much potential. Not only is this going to be the first series to sport a Violet Ranger, but we could potentially see eight Rangers in this show! The original Japanese series (Juken Sentai Gekiranger) featured five Rangers-- Red, Blue, Yellow, Violet and White. But three brand new Rangers made their way into American toy stores these past few months. The Green, Black and Sky Blue Rangers are all brand new and American-created. (I saw them in a local Target and was inspired to draw this piece-- the designs are fantastic!) Whether or not these three new Rangers will see the light of day in the actual Jungle Fury series remains to be seen. But the potential is there, and that makes it kind of exciting.
